Oils

Many of you have asked where you can buy the oils I use in my classes.  The following link will lead you to my oils website where you can make on-line purchases.

Shop Oils

Similar to Costco, you can buy a membership to receive a discount like I did since I knew I’d be using oils in my classes and for personal use.  Contact me with any questions about use, or let me know if you’d like to have an informative class on the use and benefits of essential oils.

Interesting study about oils:

“When a fragrance wafted through the bedrooms of older adults for two hours every night for six months, memories skyrocketed. Participants in this study by University of California, Irvine neuroscientists reaped a 226% increase in cognitive capacity compared to the control group. ”  Read more

Essential Oil “Recipes” and Uses

Hand Sanitizer:  In a 1 oz glass spray bottle (I get mine from Natural Grocers),

  • fill with a mixture of Thayer’s witch hazel and aloe
  • add 20-25 drops of doTerra OnGuard essential oil
  • shake and spray on hands

Natural Aluminum Free Deodorant:  Fill a 1-2 oz glass spray bottle with

  • water
  • 1-2 t Baking Soda
  • 20 drops doTerra Lavender essential oil
  • add 10-20 drops of your favorite fragrant essential oil.  I like to use peppermint in the summer for a cooling effect.

Some of my favorite oils – uses and my experiences:

Type OilCommon Uses
FrankincenseWound care, heals burns, boosts immune system, and has anti-aging properties.  Using Frankincense + Lavender I prevented blistering and peeling from an awful sunburn at yoga retreat.
PeppermintRub a drop in your hands and back of neck and Inhale to clear sinuses.  Some studies say it’s useful for IBS, toothache, headache;
I have prevented headaches I’ve felt coming on by using a drop on my temples, forehead and bridge of nose, and another drop on back of neck, every 15 mins until it’s gone.
For doTerra brand only (other brands are not certified and 3rd party tested for purity), you can also add 1-2 drops in a GLASS (not plastic) of water to get rid of indigestion.
Wild OrangeA cleansing & purifying agent, mood uplifting, energizing, high in antioxidants
LemonNatural cleaning agent for air and surfaces, cleanses body, aids digestion
OreganoRemoves warts, anti-oxidant, boosts immune system, purifyig agent; I got rid of a plantars wart using oregano.
LavenderHelps calm the nerves, promotes healing of skin, eases muscle tension
Healed sunburn, took away sting from fire ant bites and prevented blistering.  Effective use in my deodorant mix.
Deep Blueachy joints, sore muscles, replaces Bengay
Nice cooling affect, friend of mine and I used for achy joints.
OnGuardI HIGHLY RECOMMEND this doTerra blend to help build immunity, containing wild orange, clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary.   I diffuse this and Breathe at night, and also rub OnGuard on my feet to prevent illnesses in the winter and spring.  I have been thoroughly exposed to the flu and strep, and have not gotten sick in the past 3 years!  I used to get sick every February.
DigestzenGreat for indigestion!  Several friends and I have benefited from using this, alleviating an upset tummy.
Family Physician KitThe Family Physician it is a good starter kit and is what I bought when I first started using essential oils.  This kit has 5 ml bottles of most of the basics.  I’ve found uses for about all of the oils in my kit.  Purchasing this kit includes the $35 membership to get wholesale pricing.
Home Essentials KitIf I had it to do over again, I would’ve bought this kit instead because most bottles are 15 ml instead of 5 ml as in the Family Phys kit.  This kit also includes membership for wholesale pricing.

(These are my personal experiences.  As with anything, oils might have a different affect on each individual.)
